Super Bowl XLIX

Super Bowl Sunday is one of the most beloved events all around the world and it will be on the 1st of February this year.  Also, Super Bowl Sunday is the second highest day for food consumption in this country; the first being Thanksgiving.  The teams that will be playing this year are the Patriots and the Seahawks.  The Super Bowl will be closely watched by Kingman Middle Schoolers.  Mr. Garrison, Jeff, Nate Myrick, and Mrs. Austin said they thought that the Patriots would win and Mrs. Clover, Mason Munz, Nick Archer, Ms. Garrison, Ms. Woodward, Deanna Cheatum, and Alex Bennett thought the Seahawks would win. In the Patriots last game the Patriots footballs were deflated below the amount that’s allowed and people wanted them disqualified. However, they are not being disqualified.  The first Super Bowl was first played on January 15, 1967.  It was between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Green Bay Packers.  The price of getting in was about $12, which is a little less than an average meal.  Also it is interesting to note that nine out of the ten most watched U.S. television programs ever were Super Bowls.  There has never been even one overtime is Superbowl history.  Maybe this time it will happen.  In Superbowl XXXII (1998), each winner was paid $48,000 and the losers were paid $24,000.
