As most of you know, Scholars’ Bowl season is here. Any 7th or 8th grade student can try out for Scholars’ Bowl. Our Scholars’ Bowl coach is Mrs.Clover and this will be her third year coaching our 7th and 8th grade teams. The 7th grade team members are: Hayden Albright, Caden Hageman, Taylor Jernigan, Carlie Kelley, Lily McKenna, Gage Oller, Desiree Thimesch, Emily Thornton, Garrett Waldschmidt, and Mason Walter. These students lost to Wichita Independence, at their last competition. The 8th grade members are: Elizabeth Carter, Cameron Boydston, Abby Flickner, Jace Garrison, Riley Johnson, Riley Krehbiel, Seth Siemens, Wyatt Smith, Michael Swingle, and Bailey Taylor. They beat Wichita Independence by 5 points at their last competition. All the students involved said that Scholars’ Bowl was fun and they were glad that they joined. Mrs. Clover actually was the coach for Quiz Bowl. It’s similar to Scholars’ Bowl. She coached that team for three years in Oklahoma. Everyone who wants to join should definitely try out. You will love it!
