On Tuesday it begins at noon and ends at 4:00 p.m. On Wednesday the book fair starts at noon and ends at 8:00 p.m. Thursday will be the last day for the book fair so it starts at 10:00 a.m. and ends at 2:00. The book fair will also feature Captain Underpants books. If you’re into some action books you can come down and buy some. The book fair will also have posters, bookmarks, and plenty of other books. The cost for a poster is $4.75. There is a free book fair app on Apple Store and Google Play. You shouldn’t download it on the school’s Ipads. If you have one at home you can download it on that. Come down to the book fair in Kingman Elementary and Middle School’s library! Put down the electronics, give your brain a work out and read a book!

What's Your Favorite??

A survey about favorite animals was conducted at Kingman Middle School . Most students said a dog was their favorite animal. Altogether, there were eight dogs, three horses, two dolphins, one leopard, one elephant, one hamster, one lion, one panda, and one raptor. There are many different animals. All those animals can be loving. If mistreated, they can also be mean. All animals are cute in their own way. People abuse animals many times for no reason and it’s very sad. A lot of animals have become extinct. Animals are amazing in their own ways.

After the Tournaments

We asked the coaches and some of the players about the tournaments last Saturday.  The coaches are proud of what their teams and players did.  They also said that they played hard and they did some new things during the game. The coaches said that they needed to work on rebounding and work on their foot work.  They said that they have improved a lot over the season. At the end, they said that they have had a good season.
We asked some of the players, as well. We asked them if they were proud of what they did during the season. Some said yes and some said no. They also said there are a lot of things that they could have done better. We also asked them if they were proud of where they placed. The boys said no and the girls said yes. Also, we asked the players if they thought that the coaches were proud of what they did. The players said yes. For the last question, we asked if these things could help them if they tried out for basketball in high school. They all said yes.

Hero or Villian?? The Choice is Yours!!

Have you ever wanted to be a superhero? Several of the sixth grade band members want to be a superhero with superpowers. When asked this question, Robbie Myrick said, “If I were a superhero, I would have the ability to fly so I could fly to school.   Rebekka McDonald said, “I would have super strength to lift cars off people and out of the road if they break down in traffic.” Another band member said, “I would like to help people with invisibility powers.”
There are many people who want to be superheroes in Kingman Middle School. Not only do they want to save others, but they also want to help themselves. Many times you see people change for the best when they are superheroes in stories. However, others do not.  The choice is yours. So do you want to be a superhero or a super villain?
