In just about two weeks it will be spring break time for Kingman Elementary/Middle School. Spring break time comes every year, but where did this tradition start? It actually first started a very long time ago, when surviving winter was cause for a celebration. The Greeks and Romans actually used spring break as a time of honoring the Gods of wine. Modern day spring break was first celebrated in Florida. The state created spring break for college swim teams, but then started inviting all the students. Connie Francis sang the movie theme, Where The Boys Are, even more popularizing spring break. A lot of schools place regulations with specific times for spring break.
