First,
we stopped by Mrs. Osner’s kindergarten class to see what they have been up to
since all of the students returned from break. She told us that they have
started learning to write their first and last names. They are working on
adding and subtracting. They are also working on their sight words, reading,
and spelling. They even spelled a few words for us. Good job students!
After
we went to Mrs. Osner’s class, we came back upstairs and talked to Ms. Speck about
what the students are doing in her 4th Grade class. She told us that
they are learning about Colonial America. In math they are learning their
fractions. We even got to interview two of her students, Anna Livingston and
Austin Bell. Let’s see what they said!
First, we asked Anna what her favorite subject is in
class right now and she said math is her favorite subject. “I like multiplying
and adding the most,” Anna told us. We also asked her what the most interesting
thing in class is to her and she told us that she likes learning about the
Buffalo Jump. The Buffalo Jump is a Native American Story.
Next
we interviewed Austin Bell. We asked him what his favorite subject was and like
Anna, he told us math. “I like learning fractions and doing subtraction,” Austin
told us. He also told us that he likes learning about the Buffalo Jump.
The
last place we visited was Mr. Wilmott’s 4th grade P.E. class. We
asked them what they have been up to. They have been playing Four-Corner Soccer
all week. They also have daily warm-ups. Their Monday warm-up is 14 push-ups.
The Tuesday warm-up is 14 sit-ups. Wednesday they do 40 jumping jacks. Thursday
they do 10 laps. On Friday they do 28 Mountain Climbers. Looks like he’s
keeping these students busy!
