You should get to know our coach, Jon Spexarth? We interviewed him this week about his career
as a teacher/coach. We asked him why he
wanted to be a coach; he said “To work with the fine young men of Kingman,
Kansas.” He attended Newman University
for his education. We asked him where he
lived before he came to Kingman, he said “Valley Center.” Mr. Spexarth worked at a truss plant before
he became a teacher. He played
basketball at Halstead High School. Coach
Spexarth likes our new Coach Powell, he thinks he has skill and game. Mr. Spexarth thinks the team will pull off an
upset and be outstanding in the tournaments.
Coach Spexarth’s favorite college team is Iowa. He has been coaching basketball for two years
at Kingman. Coach Spexarth plans to coach at Kingman as long as he can. Do you know him now?
