Spring Breakers

What did you do during spring break? We asked some of the KES/KMS staff what they did during spring break. Mr. Kamesh ate and slept all spring break. Mrs. Clover went to Texas. The staff must like to garden because Mr. Garrison and Mr. McLain both gardened during their spring break. Mr. Wilmott and Mr. Walters both went with the high school baseball team up to Arizona.  “It was wonderful!” said Miss. Sternecker while telling us about her adventures on the Nintendo. Both Ms. Pickering and Mrs. Milford did some spring cleaning over the spring break. Mrs.Wooten attended her brother's wedding.  That’s what they did this spring break.  Wonder what will they do this summer break?

Cocoa Frog

The cocoa frog is a newly discovered species. The irises are a very chocolate color. It’s the same with the body. Their webbed feet are a dark chocolate color. They were discovered along with 60 other species in South America. They are a very pretty animal. They look relatively small. If you like frogs, this would make an awesome pet. However, they would probably be pretty expensive.

Favorite Scary Movies

What’s Your Favorite Scary Movie?
You know that feeling you get when you watch a scary movie? The feeling that someone is watching you? Well, many people love watching scary movies, so we wanted to know what some scary movies our friends like to watch. Kingman Middle School students were asked about this and this is what they said.

Madison Miller: Scream2
Xavier Arens: Hills Have Eyes
Mrs. Milford: Alien (the old one)
Thomas Heptner & Tory Pettit: Scary Movie 5
Seth Henning: Texas Chainsaw Massacre
Ashley Symder: Scary Movie

Scary movies are a fun way to hang out with friends, or just something for the end of the day. There are six total Scream movies already made. The film makers are working on creating number seven.
Our favorite scary movie is the Conjuring.

Favorite Word

Everyone has a favorite word. Students and faculty at Kingman Elementary and Middle School were asked to select their favorite word.  Mrs. Milford likes the word onomatopoeia, which is a form of poetry. Jaden Capps’ word is mustache. Mustache is the hair that grows under your nose. Mythuis Yeadon’s word is mangina, which is the place between your thumb and pointer finger.  Mrs. Knoblauch finds the word schneikes hilarious, but it’s not a real word. Natasha McClure said the word confuzzled is to be confused about something. Tory Pettit says the word flabbergasted is the funniest word ever, which means to overcome with surprise. These are pretty funny words, but can you think of a funnier one? If so, e-mail Britney Brooner at broonerbri@usd331.org.
