Have you ever read a book and then seen the movie?
Did you notice something in the movie that made it better or worse than the
book? Many people do and even pick sides on whether the book or movie was
better. Many people say books are better because you can imagine the characters
the way you want. Others say movies are better because they take less time. The
people who prefer books often say that the movies leave out important events
and warp the story. Those who prefer movies sometimes say that added scenes
help the story and going by the book would be boring. Out of the middle school 7/8
people think the book or books are better than the movies. Out of those who
like the books, 4/7 say the books are better because they have more detail. Two
of the seven thought the books were best because the movies messed up the
characters. The other person who likes the books said the movies didn’t follow
the story. The person who enjoys the movies better said it is because the
movies didn’t take as long as the books.
