The Kingman middle school students are warming up their
voices for the contest in April. Even though the contest is several months away,
they are practicing like it is next week. All of the schools league will be at
Douglass competing to get a one for their score. Even the teachers are excited
for the contest.
The middle school band is practicing two songs. They are
Covington Square and March of the Irish Guard. The teacher, Mr. Wilson, is
hoping to wow the judges with the two songs that he chose, so the band can come
home with the best score they can get. Even the vocal teacher, Mrs. Dixon, has
chosen music that hopefully brings the groups home with a well-deserved one.
While the groups are practicing and hoping for the best, other groups at
surrounding schools are doing the same.
