Member David Lux:
1. What is the purpose of the board of education?
Answer: The purpose of the board of education is to set
policy of the district, to hire and fire superintendents, and to guide the
curriculum of the district.
2. Why did you join the board of education?
Answer: Because I wanted to have a say in MY CHILD’S
education.
3. What
qualifications did you have to meet to join the board of education?
Answer: I had to be a resident of my district, I had
to file for office, and pay $5.
4. How many members are on the board of education?
Answer: Seven.
5. How often does the board of education meet?
Answer: Once a month.
6. How does one get something on the agenda?
Answer: They have to contact the board office, and
ask to have something added to the agenda.
7. Is the board of educations a paid position?
Answer: No.
8. What is your outside occupation?
Answer: My current job is interim police chief.
