Have you ever
wondered why duct tape was invented? In
World War ll they needed a strong, flexible, durable, waterproof tape
that could seal canisters and cracked windows.
The first color of duct tape was army green. When the war was over, they
changed the color from army green to gray. Five years ago, they changed the name
and color of this tape.
Now in the
twenty-first century, you can look everywhere and find duct tape. There are
traveling game kits that are made out of just duck tape. You can personalize
your pen, boots, flip-flops, belts, lamps, wallets and cell phone cases. You
can also make piggy banks, rugs, and valentine card boxes. There are many more
things you can make with duck tape.
Duck tape has
changed more than its name. It has changed colors, texture, and design. There
are many purposes for duck tape. There is fabric tape, locker tape and designer
tape. There are many different colors and designs such as pink, blue ,black, red, yellow, glow
in the dark, mustache, blue leopard, rainbow, cool cheetah, paint splatter, cameo,
penguin, Duck Dynasty, One Direction and many more colors and designs.
