Last
fall, Kingman lost a great business. Sonic, a popular drive-through restaurant,
was taken out of Kingman. This week, we surveyed thirty-two teachers from both
the middle and elementary school to ask their opinion about Sonic being gone.
Twenty-eight teachers said they missed having Sonic around. Some teachers may
not have eaten at Sonic, but they didn’t like that Kingman lost a business.
Only four teachers didn’t miss Sonic. Many of the teachers that did like Sonic
missed happy hour. Mr. Waldschmidt said that he especially missed the cherry
limeades, and he wasn’t the only one. Some teachers talked about how much they
missed having slushes in the summer. Others talked about how annoying it was
that they had to go out of town to get Sonic. Mr. Bangert said that he probably
saves quite a bit of money now that Sonic is gone! For the most part, the
teachers miss Sonic being in town. It’s always sad to see a business go in
Kingman.
